CAIRO - Libya's second-largest city, Benghazi, fell to opposition forces Sunday after a crack army unit defected and clashes spread to the capital, Tripoli, as an uprising against Moammar Gadhafi appeared to threaten the grip on power of the Middle East's longest-ruling dictator, witnesses and news reports said.
