New Republic: Can Ouattara Save The Ivory Coast?

Last Monday, Ivory Coast strongman Laurent Gbagbo surrendered, paving the way for the ascension of Alassane Ouattara, the internationally recognized winner of the last election. But Simon Akam of The New Republic argues that there are many in-country tensions that Ouattara must navigate before he can truly declare victory.
